One-Million-Dollar Give Away

BALLARAT’S gold rush days might be over, but homebuyers can still strike it rich with a $1 million gold nugget giveaway to launch a brand-new mixed- used development in the heart of the city’s western growth corridor.

Goldenvue is a new masterplanned community from developer Limebrook with more than 400 residential lots and three parks and wetlands in Winter Valley, 7km southwest of Ballarat’s CBD.

The 32ha development is well positioned in a rural setting surrounded by bushland, but also well connected to the city centre and Princes Freeway. It is also across the road from a primary school, secondary school, childcare and community centre and retail outlets proposed under the council’s West Ballarat Precinct Structure Plan.

Limebrook has released Goldenvue’s masterplan, which includes allotment sizes that range from 220sq m through to sprawling 800sq m sites available as land-only and house-and-land packages in partnership with top local and Melbourne-based builders.

Goldenvue shareholder and director Mark Greenberg said the subdivision was deliberately designed with a wide range of lot sizes, orientations and frontages to cater to “everybody who wants to live here and enjoy the best of what the region has to offer”.

“We’ve got medium-density smaller lots fronting directly on to green spaces that are a lot more affordable, right through to sites that are more than 800sq m and perfect for larger family homes,” he said.

Mr Greenberg said the project had been bolstered by the government’s $1.75 billion Regional Rail Revival plan, which will increase services and upgrade stations in Melbourne’s outer west and the greater Ballarat region.

Limebrook will launch Goldenvue today at the Ballarat Cup, ahead of its official launch on Australia Day 2020.

“We wanted to make it easy for homebuyers to reserve priority access via our website,” he said. “After registering, they will receive a SMS and email with a priority entry number to purchase a block of land — and a one-in-400 chance to win the $1 million nugget.”

All purchasers will get the opportunity to dig for the $1 million gold nugget, plus a range of other prizes. Those who register their details at the launch (on 23 November 2019) will also go in the draw to win a $2000 gold nugget at the Ballarat Cup.
